How to write a Guide Post
Open with what the reader will learn or achieve.
Break the process into 3–7 numbered steps.
Start each step with an action verb.
Keep each step concise — 1–2 sentences max.
Number every step. Numbered lists outperform bullet points on X — they signal 'this is structured' and 'this is finite'.
Cut adverbs and qualifiers. Replace 'try to consistently post' with 'post daily'. Crisp verbs make guides feel actionable.
End with a single command, not a recap. 'Pick step 1 and try it today' beats 'In summary, the five steps are…'.
